Prep time: 10 minutes | Process time: 15-20 minutes depending on blender

Ingredients:

  • 3 c raw organic almonds

Optional Ingredients:

  • 1/4 tsp sea salt, or to taste
  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup

Directions: Preheat oven to 350F. Spread almonds across a large, rimmed baking sheet and toast for about 10 minutes, stirring after five minutes. Allow to cool until just warm, about 10 minutes. Transfer to a high-speed blender or food processor. Follow manufacturer directions to avoid overheating device. Add optional ingredients and blend until creamy, pausing as necessary to scrape down the sides. Let come to room temperature and pour into mason jar with a tight fitting lid. Store in refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
